Commander - Search And Rescue Unit at Swedish Sea Rescue Society

Carl-Fredrik Gyllenhammar is an experienced professional with a diverse background in project management, sales, and search and rescue operations. Currently serving as the Commander of the Search and Rescue unit at Sjöräddningssällskapet since July 2017, Carl-Fredrik leads a SAR-vessel, manages a rescue station, and provides instruction. In addition, Carl-Fredrik works as a Strategic Account Manager for Holtab focusing on business development and strategic sales since August 2020. Previous roles include managerial positions at AFRY, Swede Ship Marine, and ÅF, with an emphasis on project management and business development in the energy sector. Carl-Fredrik holds degrees from Chalmers University of Technology and has experience in various engineering roles, complemented by a strong educational background in outdoor programs and electrical engineering.

Swedish Sea Rescue Society

Swedish Sea Rescue Society is involved in 80 percent of all sea rescues in Sweden and receives no government funding. The Society is financed by membership fees, donations and voluntary work. Thanks to 2.200 volunteer crew members, rescue services are always available 24 hours a day anywhere along the Swedish coast and on the major lakes. We have 230 modern rescue vessels and more than 115 000 members.
