Mikael Carlsson

Rescue Station Manager at Swedish Sea Rescue Society

Mikael Carlsson is an experienced professional with a strong background in both rescue management and sales. Currently serving as the Rescue Station Manager at the Swedish Sea Rescue Society - RS Stockholm since May 2014, Mikael oversees one of the largest rescue stations, coordinating six rescue units and 75 volunteers who conduct over 500 missions annually in the Stockholm archipelago. Additionally, Mikael has been the Sales Manager for the Marine division at Roca Industry since November 2014, focusing on business development within the marine industry. Previously, Mikael held various sales management positions in both the marine and telecom sectors, including roles at Nautec AB, IMS Connector Systems GmbH, Beve Electronics, Mitec Telecom, and Carlberg & Son. Mikael holds degrees in System & Telecommunication from the Royal Swedish Naval Academy and Electronics and Telecommunication from Teknis i Borås.

Swedish Sea Rescue Society

Swedish Sea Rescue Society is involved in 80 percent of all sea rescues in Sweden and receives no government funding. The Society is financed by membership fees, donations and voluntary work. Thanks to 2.200 volunteer crew members, rescue services are always available 24 hours a day anywhere along the Swedish coast and on the major lakes. We have 230 modern rescue vessels and more than 115 000 members.
