Erlendur Steinn Gudnason

Erlendur Steinn Gudnason has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Erlendur Steinn co-founded Sweeply in 2019 and served as the Co-Founder & COO. In 2015, they became a Deputy board member at Sendafelagid ehf. where they managed the sharing of RAN and telecom network infrastructure. Erlendur later joined AwareGO as the Partner Director in 2019 and held this position until February 2022. Erlendur Steinn was also a Board Member at Hugsmiðjan from June 2018 to August 2020. Additionally, Erlendur co-founded Vizido where they served as the COO from March 2016 to January 2019. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Stiki - Information Security from February 2013 to February 2016. Erlendur also held leadership positions such as Chairman of the Board at Kolibri from December 2012 to September 2015 and Deputy Board Member at Vodafone Iceland from April 2013 to March 2014. Erlendur Steinn has an extensive background at Siminn (Iceland Telecom) where they worked from 2002 to 2012, holding roles such as Director of Fixed Line Services and Manager of Eve Online Support. Erlendur also founded and served as the CEO of Islandsvefir ehf. from March 2000 to July 2002, where they implemented their vision of a more intelligent approach to the internet.

Erlendur Steinn Gudnason has a diverse education history. From 1989 to 1992, they attended Reykjavik College where they graduated with a degree in Physics. Following this, from 1992 to 1994, Erlendur studied Civil Mechanical Engineering at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Later, they pursued Computer Sciences and attended Háskóli Íslands from 1995 to 2003, earning a B.Sc. degree in the field. Additionally, Erlendur Steinn Gudnason obtained certifications in Scrum methodologies. In 2007, they became a Certified Scrum Master, and in 2008, they acquired the designation of Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance.
