Matthias Sass

Matthias Sass has extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Matthias has held various management positions in hotels and resorts, including roles as General Manager and Guest Experience & Quality Manager. Matthias has also worked as a Strategic Alliance - Brand Ambassador for Sweeply, where they worked to digitalize hotel operations and improve work environments for staff. Matthias has started their own consulting companies, mpms-consulting Ltd. and Al.Ma Experts, providing hotel business management and consultancy services. Additionally, Matthias has experience in regional management and advisory roles, establishing and promoting business partnerships in the Canary and Balearic Islands. Matthias has successfully managed hotels in different locations, including Turkey and Spain, and has consistently achieved positive results in terms of income and guest satisfaction. Matthias has a strong focus on quality management, hygiene checks, and health and safety responsibilities. Matthias is open to new challenges and opportunities in the hotel and tourism industry, and has utilized voluntary sabbatical years to pursue additional educational courses and personal development activities.

Matthias Sass has a diverse education history spanning several decades. Matthias began their educational journey at Helmholtz Gymnasium Bonn in Germany, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science from 1974 to 1983.

In recent years, Matthias has focused on developing their skills in management and administration. Matthias pursued an online diploma in Educational Course - Management & Administration of a Sport Facility from FEMXA in 2020 to 2021. Additionally, they completed another online diploma in Educational Course - Advanced Agil Project Management from FEMXA in 2020.

Matthias has also participated in webinars and seminars to continuously enhance their education and training for adults. In 2020, they engaged in these educational events for professional development.

To further their expertise in effective communication, Matthias pursued a diploma in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies from Centauro Congresos between 2017 and 2018.

In the field of hospitality, Matthias obtained a diploma in Protocoll Service from Hotel Escuela Santa Cruz & Centauro Congresos in 2014 and 2015. Matthias also immersed himself in Hotel Business Management by completing a Teacher/Docent program at IU International University of Applied Sciences from 2011 to 2012.

Matthias has a strong commitment to continuous learning, evident in their certificate in Additional Professional Education from REWE Touristik between 2000 and 2008.

Matthias'sdedication to education extends to special education and teaching. Matthias acquired a diploma from IHK Frankfurt/Trainer Education AEVO in Special Education and Teaching from 1994 to 1999.

Matthias' passion for wine and fine dining led him to complete a Sommelier Course from 1989 to 1991, allowing him to gain expertise as a Wine Steward/Sommelier.

Matthias'searlier educational experience includes obtaining a diploma in Restaurant/Food Services Management from Professional Education between 1984 and 1987.

Currently, Matthias is furthering their education by undertaking a certificate course about the Revenue Management Process at Ostelea, Tourism Management School from 2021 to 2022.
