James McCarthy MCIOB has a diverse work history in the construction industry. James is currently working as a Project Director at Sweet Projects since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Director at Balfour Beatty plc from 2020 to 2023. Before that, they served as a Senior Project Manager at VINCI from 2017 to 2023. James also worked as a Construction Consultant at Parsons Brinckerhoff from 2013 to 2023, handling program and construction management for the Medupi power station project. Additionally, they have experience as a Project Manager at Mace from 2015 to 2016, and as a Site Manager at Balfour Beatty plc from 2012 to 2013. James'searlier roles include working as a Construction Foreman at Laing O'Rourke from 2003 to 2009, where they started as a formwork carpenter and progressed to a site engineer.
James McCarthy MCIOB completed their education at the University of the West of England from 2000 to 2003, earning a BSc (Honours) degree in Environmental Science. Additionally, they hold certifications in CSCS from CONSTRUCTION SKILLS CERTIFICATION SCHEME LIMITED and SMSTS.
