Chief Technology Officer

Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is the title of the person in an organization responsible for the overall technology strategy and roadmap. The CTO may also be responsible for research and development, technical architecture, or product management.

The current CTO at SW Global is a woman who has worked in various IT positions since 1993. Chief started their career as an IT Audit manager at Charles Schwab. Chief then moved on to Kaiser Permanente - Northern Region as an IT Audit Manager. In 1996, they joined Intel as a Senior IT Audit Manager and remained there until 2004 when they became the IT Audit SOX Project Manager. In 2006, they left Intel to become CTO at Southwest Global Distributors.

The educational career for a Chief Technology Officer typically includes a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology from Brigham Young University, followed by a Physics or Astronomy degree from Diablo Valley College. They may also have a certification from the Information Systems Audit & Control Association as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
