Alec Jarvis

Alec Jarvis has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Alec is currently serving as the Vice President of Development at Swift Current Energy since June of 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Calpine for five years as a Development Director. Alec also held the position of Principal Consultant at SgurrEnergy for a brief period in 2015. Before that, Alec worked as a Senior Manager Project Development at Kleinschmidt from 2012 to 2015. Alec gained valuable experience at First Wind as a Development Manager for five years, where they managed the full life cycle of wind projects in New England. Alec also served as the Vice President Non-Timber Resources at Hancock Land Company from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they have international experience as a Project Coordinator at Project Concern International in El Salvador and as a Volunteer in the Peace Corps in Paraguay.

Alec Jarvis completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Botany at Miami University from 1992 to 1995. In 1994, they also attended The School for Field Studies (SFS) for tropical rainforest management. Later, Alec pursued a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Forestry at Michigan Technological University from 1998 to 2002.
