Doug Daniels

Doug Daniels is an entrepreneur and startup VP/CTO. He brings two decades of experience leading engineering teams to build high performance data products. For six years, Doug served as VP of Engineering at Datadog, scaling its teams, revenue, and data by orders of magnitude on the path to a highly successful IPO. Prior to that, Doug was co-founder and CTO at Mortar Data, building a toolkit for rapid big data development and operations in the cloud. Mortar Data was acquired by Datadog, where it powers data pipelines for trillions of data points per day. Before Mortar Data, Doug worked in education technology, architecting data systems used by over one million teachers and parents in New York City and 1/5 of all elementary school students in the US. Doug holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Rice University.
