Wim Raymaekers

Wim Raymaekers is an experienced professional in the banking and finance sector, currently serving as the gpi (global payments innovation) programme director at SWIFT since August 1991, where the focus is on enhancing cross-border payment services and evaluating blockchain technology for digital transformation. Previously, Wim held the position of global head of banking market, overseeing market management and strategic development for global transaction banks. As a senior product manager, significant contributions included driving market expansion through corporate connectivity channels, developing the first XML-based payment standard, and launching various treasury and payments services. Prior experience includes roles in the A/P - A/R department at ILL and bank branch operations at Fortis. Wim holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and additional educational credentials from Hasselt University and Koninklijk Atheneum Hasselt.
