Guillaume Fortin

Guillaume Fortin has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Web Developer at Ecodac and INsidde. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Software Developer at RPM Technologies. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Software Developer and Project Lead Developer at nventive. From 2021 to 2022, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Shopify, where they ran various A/B tests to measure and improve both buyer and merchant usage, served as tech lead on projects, wrote and reviewed design documents from prototype phase to developing through the build phases, and migrated components from a legacy checkout system into performant modules in its successor. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at SwiftConnect.

Guillaume Fortin completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Software Engineering from Concordia University from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Computer Science Degree from CEGEP - John Abbott College from 2008 to 2011. Guillaume also holds certifications from WSET - Wine & Spirit Education Trust (obtained in March 2021) and Microsoft (obtained in November 2020).
