Matthew Simpson

Matthew Simpson is an experienced sports professional with a strong background in sport development, participation management, and coaching. Currently serving as a Board Member at Diving Victoria and General Manager of Participation at Swimming Australia, Matthew is involved in innovative programs aimed at increasing swimming participation across Australia. Previously, as National Participation Programs Manager at Badminton Australia, Matthew successfully developed and implemented national programs for youth participation, while also overseeing event management and communications. Matthew has founded the Slipstream Diving Club and held various managerial roles at Paul Sadler Swimland Essendon and Haileybury, showcasing a consistent focus on fostering positive sports environments and stakeholder engagement. Matthew holds a Master of Business in Sport Management from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Marine and Freshwater Biology from Monash University.
