Kelvin Yong

Kelvin Yong has extensive academic and research experience in the field of photonics, particularly focused on quantum cascade lasers. Currently serving as a Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus since January 2020, Kelvin previously held similar positions at Curtin University and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Kelvin's research, grounded in a Doctor of Philosophy from Swinburne University of Technology, explores the direct intensity modulation of quantum cascade lasers and injection-locking techniques. Prior to a research-focused career, Kelvin worked as an R&D Executive at SAINS, contributing to the development of an automatic boom gate system using active RFID. Kelvin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Diploma in the same field.
