Jason Tian

Jason Tian is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Swinburne University of Technology, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Jason served as a Senior Economic and Data Analyst at the Department of Government Services from December 2021 to September 2023, focusing on social procurement reporting and analysis, along with creating a PowerBI dashboard. Jason has also held positions as a Senior Economist at the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, and as an Economic and Fiscal Analyst at Victoria's Parliamentary Budget Office. Previous experience includes roles at the Department of Treasury and Finance, Victoria, covering tax, gambling policy, and revenue forecasting, as well as a position at Macquarie Group as a Quantitative Research Analyst. Jason holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Economics and Finance from La Trobe University and multiple degrees from Monash University, including an Honours Degree in Economics and Commerce.
