Simon L. is an experienced security professional currently serving as Chief Security Officer at Visy and as an Adjunct Industry Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology since May 2023. Prior to these roles, Simon was the Deputy Chief Security Officer and General Manager of Cyber Defence, Intelligence & Investigations at nbn™ Australia from November 2015 to June 2023, and Head of Security at Crown Melbourne Limited from July 2008 to November 2015. Simon's career began at Victoria Police Force as a Police Detective, where expertise in law enforcement investigations was developed between October 1994 and September 2006. Educational qualifications include a Masters in Cyber Security, Strategy and Diplomacy from UNSW, an MBA from the Australian Institute of Management, and various other certifications in management and security.
