Uzair Bin Tahir

Uzair Bin Tahir is a current PhD student, and his area of expertise covers the practical applications of wind and wave energy. His thesis focuses on designing an efficient infrastructure for offshore windfarms and WECs (Wave Energy Converter) farms and he is working in partnership with research centres both in Australia and China.

He is also a sessional instructor in the School of Science, Computing and Engineering Technologies specialising in the fields of Electrical Power Systems to EVs (Electric Vehicles).

Uzair is an active member of the SPRA Club (Swinburne Postgraduate Research Association) and is involved in the development of the peer mentor program. He has a special interest in assisting international students struggling with settling into a new country and culture.
