David Gunderson

David Gunderson serves as the National Field Learning & Development Manager and Field Talent Partner at Swinerton since June 2021. Concurrently, David holds the position of Emeritus Professor at Washington State University, where involvement as an Associate Professor occurred from August 2006 to May 2021. David contributed to the International Journal of Construction Education and Research as Managing Editor and Editor in Chief from January 2010 to December 2017. Earlier experience includes academic roles at Colorado State University, project management at Alcan General, and various positions within construction management at Hoffman Corp, Denali Design & Construction, Midstate Construction, and Morrison Knudsen Company. David earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Construction Management Education from Colorado State University and holds a Master of Science in Engineering/Science Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage, along with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Colorado State University.
