Qinghui (Jeffrey) Tang has over 20 years of work experience in the software and hardware engineering field. Their career began in 1998 as a Hardware Design Engineer at Huawei Technologies. In 2000, they moved to Agilent Technologies as an Application Engineer for Networking Solutions, providing network protocol test, audit and troubleshooting services to telecom vendors and telecom carriers. In 2006, they worked as a Software Development and Testing Co-op at Intel. From 2007 to 2013, they were a Software/Firmware Engineer, Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments. During this time, they wrote ROM boot loader software, implemented firmware, created interrupt routines, developed the link layer of Bluetooth protocol stack, constructed regression test suites, integrated and prototyped the digital subsystem, implemented and automated flows for simulation, regression, ASIC and FPGA synthesis, and power analysis. Qinghui (Jeffrey) then moved to iLumi Solutions as a Sr. Software Engineer from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they became a Sr. Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Research America and in 2018, they began their current role as a Sr. Software Engineer at Swirlds Inc.

Qinghui (Jeffrey) Tang obtained their Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University between 2003 and 2008.
