David Cawton II

David Cawton II has a wide range of professional experience in communications and media. David currently serves as the Corporate Communications Manager at Swisher since 2022. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as the Director of Communications at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, where they managed external and internal communications, crisis strategies, and media relations. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate Editor and Reporter at the Jacksonville Daily Record from 2017 to 2019. In 2016, they worked as a Political Reporter at Spectrum in Austin, primarily focused on state and national politics. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Morning Anchor and Reporter at KTVE NBC-10 / KARD FOX-14. David has also held positions at The Auto Club Group as a Sales & Service Specialist from 2010 to 2013 and at Jacksonville University Athletics as an Athletics Intern and Producer from 2010 to 2013. In 2012, they interned at Action News Jacksonville WAWS/WTEV.

David Cawton II has a Master's Degree in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University. David also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Jacksonville University.
