Robin Franken

Robin Franken is a knowledgeable data and knowledge engineer currently working at the Swiss Data Science Center since November 2022, focusing on enhancing data openness through FAIR principles and semantic web technologies. Previously, Robin served as an OTL Modeller at Rijkswaterstaat, where contributions were made to linked-data modeling of asset information using various standards. As a consultant at BIM-Connected, the focus was on digitizing the built environment for large asset owners while translating business data requirements into technical solutions. Early career experiences include roles as an IT Professional at Stradis and an intern in the Global Data Analytics team at Arcadis, where support was provided for data management initiatives and internal strategy development. Robin holds a Master's degree in Management, Economics, and Consumer Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Business and Consumer Studies from Wageningen University & Research, along with an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Bonn International School.
