Alessio Lago

Alessio Lago is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in IFRS implementation and digital transformation, currently serving as the IFRS L&H implementation lead at Swiss Re since August 2008. In this role, Alessio tests SAP FPSL outputs for life insurance contracts under IFRS 17, while also exploring solutions for IFRS accounting and reporting. Previous positions at Swiss Re include roles such as Analytics Translator and Head of SAP Governance, focusing on enhancing finance divisions and bridging communication between finance users and IT. Alessio also contributed to Kibarè ETS as a Board Member, advocating for education and healthcare access in Burkina Faso. Educational qualifications include a degree in Economics from Università Bocconi and study at Université libre de Bruxelles as an Erasmus student.
