Monika Selmeier

Monika Selmeier has extensive experience in communications and management within the reinsurance industry, currently serving as Betriebsratsvorsitzende at Swiss Re in Germany since February 2022. With a long tenure at Swiss Re that began in 2001, Monika has held various roles, including Senior Communications Partner and Senior Communications Manager, focusing on marketing communications across multiple regions, including Germany, Austria, Nordics, and CEE. Prior experience includes a role as Communication Manager at Bayerische Rück from 1996 to 2001, where Monika specialized in digital communication, as well as a position as an application engineer, developing reinsurance applications. Monika Selmeier holds a Master of Arts degree in Information Science and Slavic Studies from the University of Regensburg.
