Uwe Riek

Uwe Riek serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Crearene AG since October 2019, while also holding the position of Manager Risk Engineering Services for Property Reinsurance at Swiss Re since October 2011. Riek has extensive experience in risk engineering and business continuity management, previously working as a Senior Risk Engineer and Consultant at Swiss Re and Swisscom IT Services AG, respectively. Earlier career highlights include a consultancy and training role at U. Riek & Co, a postdoctoral position at Université Joseph Fourier, and leadership within the student council at ETH Zürich. Riek holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from ETH Zürich and a Master's degree in Environmental Natural Sciences from the same institution.
