Vasco Nunes

Vasco Nunes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and digital transformation within the financial services sector. Currently serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Cloud and Infrastructure at Swiss Re since August 2017, Vasco has held multiple leadership roles, including Director for the Global Product Area of Data Platform & Operations and Head of Strategic Digital and Information Initiatives. Prior to Swiss Re, Vasco worked at UBS from 2010 to 2017, where responsibilities included managing the global program for the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) and overseeing the FX, Rates & Credit EMEA distribution. Vasco's earlier career includes positions at Barclays Bank and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, along with a strong foundation in software engineering. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and executive leadership training from London Business School.
