Dr. Simon Butscher

Dr. Simon Butscher serves as the Director of DevSecOps & Engineering at Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar since September 2022 and concurrently holds the position of Head of IT Architecture & Software Development at Swiss International Air Lines. With experience as a Business Analyst and Project Leader Expert, Dr. Butscher previously worked at Universität Konstanz from May 2012 to August 2019 as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant, leading interdisciplinary research projects and collaborations. Prior to this, Dr. Butscher was a Freelancer and Software Engineer at Ingenieurbüro Stotz GmbH & Co. KG and systema Deutschland GmbH, respectively, and gained experience as a Working Student at Siemens. Educational achievements include a Doctorate in Computer and Information Science and a Master of Science in Information Engineering from the University of Konstanz, as well as a Diplom in Economic Computer Science from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
