We are involved in cooperative development projects in India, Myanmar (Burma), Tanzania, Chad, Niger, Guinea-Bissau, Ecuador, Colombia and Nicaragua. 

SWISSAID has committed itself to the disadvantaged people in the Southern Hemisphere – especially in those areas where there are no other organisations on hand to help them. With your donation, we battle for the right of all people to lead their lives without hunger, need and oppression.

We work exclusively with local partners to give small farmers and their families a helping hand so they can go on to sustain themselves over the long term. We do not shy away from showdowns with multinationals, major land owners or organisations that are polluting the environment either. This is always done with the aim of emboldening defenceless local people and giving them the ability to help themselves.
