Peter Aswad

Peter Aswad has a diverse work experience in the compliance field. Peter currently serves as the Head of Compliance - UAE at Swissquote, where they oversee compliance operations in the Middle East and Asia. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of ADGM Branch at Waystone Compliance Solutions, where they also served as a Senior Consultant and Consultant. Additionally, Peter has worked as a Compliance Manager at Emirates NBD and as a Senior Advisor, Compliance (contract) at National Bank of Canada. Peter also has experience as a Compliance Manager at Quadrus Investment and as a Compliance Examiner at IIROC. Earlier in their career, Peter worked as a Compliance Associate/Investment Representative at Rothenberg Capital Management Inc. and as an Investment Representative and Collections Representative at HSBC.

Peter Aswad received their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Concordia University from 2001 to 2005. Peter also obtained a Certificate in Investment Dealer Compliance from the Canadian Securities Institute, although the dates of completion were not specified. In terms of additional certifications, Peter has been certified as a Certified AML Fintech Compliance Associate by ACAMS in 2022, a CAMS certification by ACAMS in 2017, and also holds a Certificate in Investment Dealer Compliance from the Canadian Securities Institute obtained in 2013.
