Tarik Chelabi

Tarik Chelabi has extensive experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors, currently serving as the Head of Department for Network and Systems at SWITCH® since November 2017, where responsibilities include managing Temenos T24 infrastructure activities and coordinating a team of DBAs and network specialists. Previously, Tarik held the position of Head of Unit for Linux and Core, focusing on VMware and RHEL environments while ensuring compliance with PCI requirements. Prior roles include Senior System Administrator and Acting Head of Development at Scopesky Communications, where server maintenance and IaaS business creation were key responsibilities, and Technical Manager at Al-Abrar for Communications and IT, overseeing satellite services and network installations. Tarik began the career as a Technical Assistant at Teltac, monitoring GSM databanks and configuring VoIP gateways. Tarik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Baghdad College for Economical Sciences.
