Zia Syed

Zia Syed is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software systems and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as EVP Software Systems and AI at Switch and as an Interim Consultant for Generative AI at Nokomai Advisory, Zia guides corporations on effective AI strategies. As the founder of a Generative AI startup, Zia focuses on driving innovation and streamlining enterprise operations. Previous roles include President of Symworld Platform at Rakuten Symphony, Chief Technology Officer for 5G at Dell Technologies, and various leadership positions at Ericsson, including CTO and VP of Product Engineering. Zia's foundational experience encompasses technology leadership roles at Panasonic Silicon Valley Laboratory, Funmobility Inc., and Oasys Mobile Inc. Zia holds an MSc in Advanced Software Engineering from the University of York, is a PhD candidate in Mobile Computing at Robert Gordon University, and earned a BE in Computer Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology.
