Omar Torres

Omar Torres has a strong background in accounting and finance. Omar currently holds the position of Accounting Director at SWIVEL, a role they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Elavon, Inc. as an Accounting Manager from May 2015 to April 2023. In this role, they were responsible for the General Ledger accounting functions of Elavon Mexico and the Alliance with Banco Santander, including journal entry postings and account reconciliations. Omar also conducted expense and accrual trend analysis.

Before joining Elavon, Inc., Omar worked at Siemens as an Accountant (Financial Commercial Project Manager) from March 2010 to March 2014. In this role, they administered project budgets and created monthly financial reports, including P&L statements, Cash Flows, and Cost analysis. Omar also managed contracts and claims, coordinated project schedules, and forecasted budget reports. Prior to Siemens, they worked as an Internal Control Analyst at Banco Venezolano de Credito from June 2008 to February 2010.

Omar Torres obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from 2006 to 2010. Omar also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello during the same time period. In addition to their formal education, Omar obtained a certification as a Project Practitioner (PM4) at Siemens in November 2012.
