Travis Crabtree

Travis Crabtree has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Travis is currently the EVP, Co-Founder & Counsel at Swyft Filings, where they focus on operations, HR, ESG, legal, and compliance. Travis rejoined the company in late 2021 after a Private Equity leveraged buyout, supporting the newly hired C-Suite to enhance the customer experience. Prior to this role, Travis served as the President of Swyft Filings, playing a pivotal role in growing the team from around 10 employees to approximately 85, and increasing the company's revenue from $500,000 to around $75 million.

Before their time at Swyft Filings, Travis worked as an Attorney at Gray Reed & McGraw, specializing in media/technology/commercial litigation. Travis managed a practice focused on brand management, online marketing, and risk management for various creative clients, including start-ups. Travis utilized their journalism background to maintain positive media relationships for the benefit of their clients and firm, while also serving as an on-the-record analyst and background source.

Furthermore, Travis worked as an Adjunct Professor of Media Law at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2014, and earlier in their career, they gained experience in the media industry, working as a Photographer-Producer-Reporter at KCRG-TV9 in 1996 and as an Anchor/Reporter/Producer at KOMU-TV8 from 1994 to 1995.

Travis Crabtree attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Journalism (B.J.) degree with a field of study in Journalism. Following this, from 1997 to 2000, Travis pursued further education at the University of Houston Law Center, focusing on Law and ultimately earning a degree in Law.
