James Stirling

James Stirling is a seasoned media professional currently serving as the SXSW London Music Consultant since 2024. Previously, James held the position of Vice President at HARDER THAN YOU THINK from September 2023 to March 2024, contributing to one-off entertainment experiences through the For One Night Only initiative. For over 14 years, James worked at the BBC in various roles, including Executive Editor and Head of BBC Music, leading significant projects such as BBC's Centenary in 2022 and the establishment of the 6 Music Festival. Early career experience includes an Executive Producer role at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where James contributed to digital media development. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of East London.
