John Badcock

John Badcock is an experienced event operations professional currently serving as the Operation Director for SXSW London at TAIT, and the Event Operations & Safety Director for SXSW, primarily working remotely from the UK. Prior roles at SXSW include Senior Manager of Event Operations & Safety and Event Control Manager for SXSW Sydney. John has also held positions as Operations Manager for various events at METHOD, including the Drumsheds venue, and contributed to numerous festivals during a decade at MAMA & Company, overseeing events such as Wilderness Festival and Citadel Festival. John began a career in event safety with SXSW as a Safety Coordinator after earning a degree in Music Industry Management & Marketing from Buckinghamshire New University.
