Katherine Katz

Katherine Katz is an experienced visual arts educator with a focus on middle school students, currently serving as a Middle School Art Teacher at Sycamore Community School District 427 since August 2016. Previously, Katz held similar positions at Batavia Public School District 101 and CUSD #2, where responsibilities included developing curriculum centered on art-making and fostering a positive community spirit through art clubs and events. Additional experience includes roles as Head Art Teacher at Kishwaukee Special Recreation Association, Youth Arts Director for AmeriCorps, and an OSCAR assistant at Sycamore Community Schools. Katherine holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Digital Teaching and Learning from the American College of Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Northern Illinois University.
