Lauren Holtz, MBA, serves as the Director of Communications and Community Engagement for Sycamore Community School District 427 since April 2022, where leadership is provided for all communications in alignment with the District's strategic goals. Previously, Lauren held the position of Executive Director at Sycamore Education Foundation from October 2019 to April 2022, focusing on enhancing educational opportunities through community engagement. Prior to that, Lauren worked as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce from July 2013 to September 2019, and as Events and Marketing Director at Sycamore Chamber of Commerce from November 2010 to July 2013. Education includes a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the same institution.

It is the mission of the Sycamore Community School District 427 to empower all learners to succeed in their world. This mission statement was the result of conversations with community members, staff and students during the District’s first strategic design in 2001. All of these stakeholders were proud of our past and our promising future. In particular, students wanted their voices heard, which is why the word “their” is emphasized in the statement. The word “learners” appears in the statement because learning is the District’s main focus.
