Denise Thornton

Denise Thornton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in urban planning and IT management. Currently serving as a Corridor Protection Analyst at Sydney Metro since April 2020, Denise previously held urban planning roles at Mecone and AECOM from 2013 to 2012, focusing on strategic planning, statutory planning, and Environmental Impact Assessments. Denise's career also includes a significant tenure as IT Help Desk Manager at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) from 1998 to 2004, managing a team that supported a large number of staff. Earlier experience includes managing CompuServe Support Services for the Pacific region at Fujitsu from 1992 to 1998. Denise holds a Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New England and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computing from the University of Technology Sydney.
