Luther Uthayakumaran

Luther Uthayakumaran has extensive work experience in various industries. Luther began their career as a Graduate trainee and Market Research Analyst at Unilever in 1992, and later served as a Manager Information Technology in the Tea Trading Division. Luther then joined ICS (UK) as a Senior Consultant in 1997, before moving on to become a Project Manager at Vodafone Australia in 1999. In 2000, Luther worked as a Senior Project Manager at IBM, overseeing various projects. Luther then joined Bupa Australia & New Zealand as a Manager Decision Support in 2003, and later served as a Business Principal at Qantas Airways from 2006 to 2012. Luther then joined Commonwealth Bank as the Head of Research and Analytics in 2012, before becoming an Independent Consultant for Vodafone, Veda, the Australian Federal Government, and UNSW from 2013 to 2015. Finally, Luther served as the Strategy Lead at Sydney Water Govt of New South Wales from 2015 onwards.

Luther Uthayakumaran has an extensive education history. Luther holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Prior to their PhD, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A) degree by research also from UNSW. Luther further pursued their education at the University of Technology Sydney, where they earned a Master of Management degree in 2000. Their undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Jaffna, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree with honors in Statistics, with a minor in Pure Mathematics and Chemistry. Additionally, Luther Uthayakumaran has recently completed the UNSW Career Discovery Mentoring Program in November 2022.
