Magnus Ek

Magnus Ek is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in water and wastewater management. Currently serving as an Utredningsingenjör at Sydvatten AB since September 2019, Magnus has previously held key positions at VA SYD, including VA-strateg and acting head of the Drinking Water Department. Prior roles include Technical Controller at Tekniska förvaltningen, where responsibilities involved planning the renewal of pipe networks and managing technical issues. Magnus began the career as a Va-ingenjör, conducting investigations for network expansions and addressing operational disturbances. Early experience includes working at Scandiaconsult Sverige AB Miljöteknik, focusing on municipal and industrial water assignments. Magnus holds a Master of Science degree in Road and Water Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University.
