Alain Faessler

Alain Faessler is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in manufacturing and operations management within the chemical and materials industries. Currently serving as COO of SynOrb and Director of PVDF Expansion Projects at Syensqo since August 2021, Alain oversees the industrial and technology teams of the newly formed GBU Materials. Prior to this role, Alain spent over a decade at Solvay, where leadership positions included Director of Manufacturing for Composites and Specialty Polymers, contributing to significant organizational integrations and industrial efficiencies across multiple global sites. Earlier career roles included Operations Manager and Site Manager at Solvay, focusing on plant integration and safety enhancements. Alain holds an Engineer’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from CentraleSupélec, obtained between 1984 and 1987.
