Allison Thornton

Allison Thornton is an experienced researcher in specialty polymers, currently serving as an Associate Scientist at Syensqo since December 2023, where responsibilities include optimizing compounding processes and scaling production from lab to commercial levels. Previously, Allison held a similar role at Solvay and gained valuable teaching experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Purdue University. Extensive research background includes work on silver-embedded surgical mesh and material testing for chronic wound management in the Rahimi Lab at Purdue. Allison also contributed to material research at Bose Corporation to enhance wearable device experiences and completed engineering internships focusing on CAD modeling at GS Global Resources, Inc. An educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Purdue University and ongoing pursuit of a Master of Engineering in Polymer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
