Jesal Chopra

Jesal Chopra has a strong and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Jesal is currently the President at Syensqo since December 2023, and prior to that, they held the position of President - Technology Solutions at Solvay from June 2023 to the present. Jesal also served as the Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Life Solutions at Solvay from September 2020 to June 2023.

Before joining Solvay, Jesal worked at The Chemours Company as the Vice President - Fluoropolymers, leading the global fluorpolymer business with a P&L responsibility of over $1 billion. Jesal was responsible for managing a diverse product and brand portfolio, which included well-known brands like Teflon, Viton, and Nafion. In addition, they served as the North America Business Director at The Chemours Company from July 2015 to November 2016.

Prior to their role at The Chemours Company, Jesal worked at DuPont for several years. Jesal held various positions during their tenure, including North America Sales Manager, Technical Marketing Manager, Sales Executive - Global Accounts, Product Manager, Technical Services Consultant, and Operations Area Manager/Quality Manager.

Jesal's career at DuPont began in 1996 as a Process Engineer, and they later became an integral part of the management team responsible for overseeing the finishing area of the Titanium Dioxide manufacturing operation.

Overall, Jesal Chopra has a wealth of experience in leadership, sales and marketing, technical expertise, and operations management in the chemical industry.

Jesal Chopra received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Jesal obtained the WBCSD LEAP Sustainability Program certification from Yale SOM Executive Education in 2022, and they are also a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt.
