Nicolas Barthel

Nicolas Barthel is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry and process development with extensive experience in both research and innovation. Currently serving as the La Rochelle Development Center Manager at Syensqo since December 2023, Barthel previously held multiple key positions at Solvay from October 2009 to December 2023, including R&I & Process Improvement Manager and Development and Technology Innovation Department Manager, focusing on battery and electronics materials as well as inorganic specialties. With a background as R&D Manager for Solvay Rare Earth Systems and prior experience at Rhodia and Axens, Barthel has a strong track record in pilot and product development for rare earths.
