Sergio Detoie Cardoso Martins has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Sergio Detoie started as a Trainee at Rhodia in 1994 and later worked as a Marketing and Commercial Assistant at UCB. Sergio Detoie then served as an Account Manager and Director of Business Development for Latin America at UCB. In 2005, they joined Innovia Films as the Managing Director for Brazil and later became the Global Commercial Manager. Sergio Detoie pursued a double master's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Melbourne Business School and NYU. After completing their studies, Sergio worked as a Business Development Consultant independently, taking on projects in Australia, the United States, and Brazil. Sergio Detoie also worked as a Strategic Partner at M&V Participações, providing business strategy and corporate governance consulting to early-stage companies. Sergio then served as the Executive Director at Empreenda.VC, a company promoting entrepreneurship. In 2016, they joined Solvay as a Regional Sales Manager for Latin America in Composite Materials and later held positions as the IOC Program Manager and Head of Energy in the Thermoplastic Composite Platform. Currently, Sergio is the Head of Commercial Operations at Syensqo in the Thermoplastic Composite Platform. Alongside their professional roles, they have also been actively involved with SAMPE Brasil, where they served as President and a Member of the Board of Advisors.
Sergio Detoie Cardoso Martins holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from NYU Stern School of Business which they completed in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Double Master degree in Administration, Marketing, and Leadership from Melbourne Business School, graduating in 2009. In 1997, Sergio earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo. Additionally, Sergio has obtained several certifications in various subjects related to decision-making, growth mindset, and customer centricity from renowned institutions like UC Berkeley Executive Education, Yale School of Management, and The Wharton School.
