Alex Leeder

Alex Leeder is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in organic chemistry and cancer research. Currently serving as Lead Scientist at Sygnature Discovery since January 2018, Alex has progressed through several senior roles within the company. Prior experience includes a pivotal role as an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, where collaboration with Dr. Emre Sayan and Professor Alex Mirnezami focused on innovative metastatic cancer treatment strategies. Alex’s journey in academia began with a PhD at the University of Southampton, emphasizing the synthesis of C-13 labelled retinals and vibralactone, alongside a master's placement at Merck Chemicals Ltd, researching reactive mesogen liquid crystals. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and a Master's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton.
