Nkateko Mabasa has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Starting in 2010, they worked as an Academic Tutor at the University of Johannesburg, where they provided support in Mathematics and Accounting until 2013. In 2014, they joined STANLIB as a Fund Accountant in Institutional Pricing, a role they held until 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Nkateko worked at Maitland as an Accountant in Institutional Clients Accounting, where they focused on fund valuations. They then moved on to Ashburton Investments in 2017, where they worked as a Fund Accountant in the Middle Office.

In 2018, Nkateko joined STANLIB again, this time as a Senior Accountant in Financial Reporting. They were responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting of Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) and ensuring adherence to industry standards. From 2020 to 2021, Nkateko worked at STANLIB as a Manager in Pricing and Financial Reporting. They managed the administration and coordination of the Financial Reporting team and ensured compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

In 2021, Nkateko moved to Sygnia Asset Management and started as a CIS Manager, where they handled end-to-end operations and reporting for the Itrix funds listed on the JSE. They managed units' creations/redemptions, valuations, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting. Currently, Nkateko holds the position of Senior Manager in Pricing and Corporate Actions at Sygnia Asset Management, leading the Institutional Administration Pricing Team and ensuring accurate valuations of various investment products within the company's range.
