Jason Torey

Jason Torey has extensive work experience in a variety of roles and industries. Jason is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Sylabs, Inc. since November 2021. Additionally, they hold a part-time faculty position at Colorado State University Global since January 2021.

Prior to their current positions, Jason worked at RSTOR from October 2018 to November 2021. During this time, they held various roles including Senior Vice President of Operations from October 2020 to November 2021, Chief of Staff from October 2019 to November 2021, and Member of the Board of Advisors from August 2018 to October 2019.

Jason also worked as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Charleston School of Business & Leadership from October 2017 to November 2021. Jason served in the Government sector as a Navy SEAL Command Master Chief/Operator from August 1992 to September 2018.

Lastly, Jason was a Fellow at The Honor Foundation in 2017.

Jason Torey's education history begins with their high school education at Sequim High School from 1988 to 1992. Jason then pursued an Associate of Science (AS) degree at Vincennes University for a year in 2009. In the same year, they enrolled at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Workforce Education and Development in 2010.

Later in 2015, Torey returned to the University of Charleston to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Strategic Leadership, which they completed in 2016. During the same period, they also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Washington State University, completing it in 2017. Finally, Torey pursued a Doctorate degree in Leadership Studies at the University of Charleston from 2016 to 2020.
