Omar El Defrawy

Omar El Defrawy has a strong work history spanning several notable positions. Omar co-founded Sylndr in November 2021 and serves as the CEO. Prior to this, they were a board member and Chief Financial Officer at elmenus from May 2021 to October 2021, and from May 2020 to October 2021, respectively. Before joining elmenus, they worked in investment banking at EFG Hermes from December 2014 to May 2020. Omar began their career at the Central Bank of Egypt in September 2013, where they worked in the Reserve Management Unit until December 2014.

Omar El Defrawy completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management with a specialization in Economics and Finance from The German University in Cairo. Omar completed their degree in 2013.
