Thi Bich Hue Tran

Thi Bich Hue TRAN is a skilled Material Designer at Symbio, specializing in the design of high-performance and durable membrane electrode assemblies for PEM fuel cells since October 2022. Prior to this role, Thi Bich Hue TRAN served as a Research Engineer at CEA, focusing on the transport properties of cathode catalyst layers and developing nanostructured ionomers for PEMFCs from January 2020 to October 2022. A postdoctoral fellowship at CEA from June 2018 to June 2019 involved the synthesis and characterization of new ionomers for cathode applications. Thi Bich Hue TRAN earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Montpellier, where research centered on water management in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells, along with a Master’s degree from Paris-Sud University and a Bachelor's degree from Université de Toulon, both in Chemistry. Early scientific research experiences include work on composite materials at Hanoi University of Science and various internships focused on materials characterization and performance testing.
