Anastasia H.

Anastasia H. has a wealth of experience in a variety of roles. Anastasia began their career in 2008 as a Translator and Interpreter for Aluminum of Kazakhstan, where they handled international communication and interpreted at meetings with foreign partners and suppliers. This role also included translating technical documentation and liaising in troubleshooting of equipment by communicating with foreign manufacturers. In 2015, they took on a Manager role at KarinaNYC, where they managed various projects including technology implementation to facilitate business needs that resulted in business expansion to a new location and its growth from 1 to 12 employees. Anastasia also handled new employee onboarding and training processes by identifying needs and designing and developing necessary materials, as well as conducted research to improve customer service and coordinate marketing campaigns leading to customer base expansion. In 2016, Anastasia became a Student Teacher at Syosset High School, where they developed and taught lessons for 9-12 graders to facilitated their development of Russian language skills. Anastasia also held Student Teacher roles at Great Neck South Middle School and Jfk Elementary School. Additionally, they were a Russian Teacher at Advanced Academic Programs of Roslyn from 2016-2020, where they designed and implemented curriculum for teaching Russian as a foreign language with implementation of technology and game-based learning. Lastly, since 2020 they have been an Instructional Designer and Project Lead, Instructional Designer, and Associate Instructional Designer at Symbiosis Educational Consultants.

Anastasia H. obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Innovative University of Euarasia in 2008. Anastasia then went on to receive their Master of Arts in Educational/Instructional Technology from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2018. In between, they earned their M.S.Ed. in Foreign Language/ TESOL Teacher Education from Hofstra University in 2016. In addition, Anastasia H. holds three certifications: Certified Translation Professional (English-Russian) from Global Translation Institute (2013), Public School Teacher Certificate, TESOL K-12 from New York State Education Department (2017), and Public School Teacher Certificate, Russian 7-12 from New York State Education Department (2017).
