Colin MacKay

Founder and Chief Executive at Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services

Colin MacKay has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Colin began their career in 1996 as a Key/Account Manager at Amersham Life Sciences (GE Healthcare, now Cytiva). In 2002, they moved to ProPharma (later Evotec) as Head of Business Development. In 2005, they were promoted to Senior Vice-President, Business Development at Evotec. In 2007, they joined NextPharma as Vice-President, Business Development, North America. In 2008, they founded and became Chief Executive of Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services Limited.

Colin MacKay has a well-rounded education history. Colin obtained their MBA from the University of Strathclyde between 2002 and 2005, specializing in Business Administration. Colin then went on to earn their MSc in Molecular Genetics from the University of Glasgow between 1991 and 1995. Colin began their educational journey at the University of Glasgow, where they earned their BSc (Hons) in Cell Biology between 1986 and 1990.
