Robert Reekie has a long and varied work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Robert began their career in 2000 as Senior Director Business Operations at Inveresk Research, which was acquired by ClinTrials in April 2001. In 2003, they became Executive Vice President of Europe Asia-Pacific at PharmaNet, as well as a Non Executive Director at Drug Development Scotland Ltd. In 2010, they were appointed Chief Operating Officer, Phase 2-4 Development at PharmaNet Development Group, and in 2013 they assumed the same role at inVentiv Health Clinical (formerly PharmaNet/i3). In 2014, they became Managing Director of Reekie Management and Research, and in 2016 they were appointed Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Vice-President at Clintec, where they were responsible for the operational delivery of CRO services across approximately 50 international legal entities. In 2015, they were also Interim Commercial Director at Stratified Medicine Scotland and Non Executive Director representing investor syndicate at Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services Limited. In 2020, they became Vice-Chair and Non Executive Board Member/Trustee at Hansel Foundation Ayrshire.
Robert Reekie began their education in 1974, when they attended St Andrews University and earned a BSc in Medical Science. Robert then attended the University of Edinburgh from 1979 to 1982, where they earned an MB ChB in Medicine. In 1986, they attended the Royal Colleges of Physicians UK and earned a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine. Finally, from 1990 to 1994, they attended the University of Nottingam, School of Management and Finance, where they earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General.
